So I thought I would share these photos of a hand drawn christmas card I made for my MIL to go with her ornament gift from earlier.

I used aqua light blue paper from Marta Stewart for the card base, a brown copic marker to hand draw the branch, a red Micron 05 marker for the Cardinal, a black Micron 01 marker for the legs and face, and a Sakura white pen for the eye but it didn’t turn out as white as it was supposed to, the snow is white flocking from Martha Stewart, the snowflake border at the bottom is an EK Success border punch.

The Branch and bird are both hand drawn by me no templates or tracing just thought of it and drew it 🙂

Close up of the Branch and Bird so you can see the drawing and the "snow"

I thought I would share photos of the ornament I made for my Mother in Law who was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 2 I believe. She started Chemo at the beginning of the month and just went for her second treatment this week and has been having a really rough time with the treatments so I made her this ornament so she could see that we all “Believe” she will get through this, and then later she can hang it on her tree and know she survived it and remember how strong she is for it.

Ok so here are the photos:

Lymphoma Glitter Ornament

Lime Green is the Lymphoma Awareness ribbon color. The inside bottom has a Mica white glitter in it that reflects the green sometimes and other times it’s white and pink and blue and purple it’s pretty in person, it also has some fine white glitter as well.

Believe written on one side

This side says Survivor 09-10 (for 2009-2010) Lymphoma

Another shot of the Ribbon inside

I tied the ribbon to the lid of the ornament with lime green sewing thread so it blends in and looks like it is just suspended in th middle of the ornament.

She loved it, didn’t put it on the tree yet though, maybe when she feels better she will do it.

Here is the box I made to put it in, it was tied up and ready to go.

Handmade Box

This is the first box I have ever made 🙂 I thought it turned out nice.

Leave a comment I love to hear what others think of my work 🙂

Hey everyone, it’s been a few days since I posted anything so I thought I would post about the box and packages that arrived at my door the other day.

The first one was a nice little Christmas Surprise, it was my rebate cartridges from the Cricut BJ’s rebate, I bought an expression bundle from BJ’s and sent in the rebate and within 6 weeks I believe maybe a little longer I got my 2 cartridges: Pagoda and Old West which are awesome by the way. This is absolutely the fastest rebate I have ever done from Provocraft, in the past I as well as many others have waited as much as a year for other rebates so it seems that Provocraft has gotten a lot better at this rebate thing 🙂 Great Job Provocraft.

The other box contained a brand new Gypsy sent to me from Provocraft as well. I was very excited indeed I got everything out, registered it updated it and downloaded and printed the manual for it.

Of course it is the holidays so I haven’t had a huge amount of time to play with it yet but I am going out today to see if I can find a cheap tripod for my video camera so I can make some videos for my blog on how to use it. I am going to post in a different post in a bit about some of the things I have already done with it though, so check back in a little bit for that one.

I gotta run out for a few minutes though and get some last minute stocking stuffers for the kids and then get some cookies started baking for Santa.

Happy Holidays everyone 🙂

Hey everyone, so my daughters 4th birthday will be this Wednesday the 9th of December. Since it falls in the middle of the week and since my MIL was starting Chemo on Monday we decided to have Maddie’s little family party Sunday so everyone could be there 🙂

It was super fun, she is super cute, and super smart too 🙂 her party theme was Strawberry Shortcake, we let the kids pick the theme from age 1 basically whatever they like they get party wise.

So I made her a birthday card with the Strawberry from Indie Art, I was lazy and it is not an open up card but I thought it was cute and she really liked it so that is all that matters.

I figured I would post some pics of it on here and see what all of you thought of it. Again it was cut out of Bazzil paper using the Strawberry from Indie Art on 8″, the Strawberry Shortcake image was printed out on my awesome new Epson Printer with the waterproof ink and then colored with Prismacolor markers. I have never colored with markers before I usually use Prismacolor pencils and a blender marker. I also used Sakura sparkle gel pens to write the sentiment.
